The Chronicle / Privacy
Privacy & analytics.
The Yacht Chronicle is an independent editorial website. This page describes our current, optional visitor analytics integration and how to control it.
Optional Google Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-E5B3SP93CS) to understand page visits and general use of the website. Google may process information about the pages you visit, your device and browser, your interactions, and approximate geographic information. Analytics may store identifiers in browser cookies.
Google Analytics does not load before you select “Allow analytics”. Our integration defaults to denied consent for advertising-related uses and does not enable Google advertising signals. Declining analytics does not restrict access to our content.
Your choice and withdrawal
Your decision is stored in your browser's local storage as tyc:analytics-consent:v1. To change it, use the “Privacy settings” control in the website footer. Choosing “Decline analytics” after previously accepting stops future Analytics collection on the site and attempts to remove first-party Analytics cookies. It cannot erase information already transmitted.
Further information
See Google's privacy policy for Google's data-processing information.
Publication details
This is a technical privacy notice for the current website build, not yet a complete jurisdiction-specific privacy policy. The publishing entity, responsible privacy contact, applicable data-retention details and other required legal disclosures must be confirmed before the publication's full commercial launch.
